The monkey zoo is 5 minutes away from the centre of Los Cristianos. It is very well done inside, and all the animals you can see seem to be treated well.
There are not only monkeys in this zoo but also birds, reptiles and black panthers. The visit starts by a wooden bridge going across a swamp.
You walk through the first cages and as you walk, the monkeys are jumping around to see if you are bringing them something.
At the entrance, you can buy monkey food and that is what they are waiting for.
Some are coming to pick up the food in your hand and some are shy and wait for you to leave the food in the trays.
There are many different kinds of monkeys and the smaller one are confined in smaller cages.
The visit ends in a large cage where birds and monkeys are quietly looking at you as you go through.
